well, good afternoon :)
you left to work awhile ago and I am patiently waiting here in your dad's cool house. the last time I was here alone I wanted to write a blog too but I couldn't my password haha go figure.
You looked beautiful as always this morning and you smelled so good. I know we've been seeing each other pretty much every day, I like it that way and so it'd be nice to see you tonight after work. But even so, talking on the phone like last time is always nice. I wish I was making some crazy recipe in the kitchen with you right now, or running with you to the park or cuddled up watching anime on the armchair. I still want more time with you.
Last night was unplanned and amazing. I was glad that I got to wear my new shirt and it was nice to smoke with you and look up at the stars and smeared clouds. I
oh curses well I'm getting picked up now I'll continue later I love you mmmwuah.

Black and White to the bookstore
I love black and white together. A lot of my favorite outfits are this combination. It's just so chic and cool. The skirt is one of my recent clearance purchases from Forever21. I loved all the zipper detailing. The shirt is from my dancer days. I hung with Tyler later on this day too of course!

Cherry Pie
Well, this day I bought cherry pie for my neighbors in thanks of a favor they gave me..so it was only fitting that I did a shoot partly inspired by Warrant's Cherry Pie video. I saw it back when I was 16 and inspired by its playful free sexiness. The other inspiration was this new jacket I purchased..it's so amazing. I planned to wear it with little black dresses but it works being sporty too. I love it's shiny texture and bright shade. This was actually the night I wore my glasses and hung out with Tyler.
Unicorn (Shopping Day 3)
So, this was my third trip to the mall where I purchased all of the clearance items I had put on hold. I had a ton that I had to choose from, and I made good decisions. This top I had purchased from those items on hold my second day of shopping (the outfit of which I don't have pictures yet). Both my sister and I have always adored unicorns, as they are symbols of purity, power, beauty and magic. I purchased the shirt right away. The inspiration for this outfit was 'relaxed rocker'. The studded belt we've had since we were 14 or 15, it's from Target. I like that this outfit uses the summer trend of denim shorts but still in a unique, accessorized way. And I love printed tee! You can pair them with anything. So, later on this day I hung out with Tyler and wore these glasses I had purchased which made my day even more amazing <3

Shopping Spree Day 1
Recently I went on a total of 3 shopping sprees with my first paychecks from work. I had a blast each time I went. On this day I did not even leave Forever21. I wore this outfit before to the patio at Borders too, and this group of people in a car drove by calling me 'Gossip Girl'. xD Which I thought was funny and took as a compliment since I love the fashion on that show. The shirt I bought on clearance at Forever21 last year. I had worn it only once before to a party. I liked it because of the length and color; also it is the title of one of my favorite Dylan songs. The leggings are from my character in a zombie movie I filmed this year, and I got to keep them. The sunglasses are from Ross. The purse and boots are from a very special lady, and I especially cherish her memory when I wear them. The necklace is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry ever, it is a gift from my amazing Tyler who has the best taste in the world. I adore gold and pearls, it is such a good statement piece. On this trip I bought a printed tee, two jackets, a dress and a skirt. I later returned one of the jackets because of the fit. The tee attracted me because I love safety pins. The dress is a hot fitting number that was only $12. The skirt is one of the best purchases I've made, it is the ultimate summer piece and so flirty and feminine. I wore it during my second spree, which I will post soon. I love wearing white, especially for summer. It looks amazing with my Goodwill cowboy boots. The military jacket matches this outfit perfectly, I wore it the rest of the night. I had discovered it when shopping awhile back, wasn't able to purchase it then and thought I wouldn't see it again. But karma returned it to me!

Hot Pink and Black
I wore this outfit to dinner and then to the bookstore. The combination of pink and black is one of my favorites. The shirt was clearance from Wetseal, I wore it for a play my Senior Year. The pencil skirt I bought on a shopping spree in Washington DC when I was 17. I love retro/business clothing. It came with a cool belt too that I use with other clothes. The shoes are from my Junior Prom. When I wear this outfit I usually add this magenta flower clip I got from Target that matches perfectly.

Black Tights and Flowers
I love this outfit! I purchased the jumper in 2006 at Buffalo Exchange. I always get compliments on it. I liked it because of the cut, the print, and pairing of black and yellow. I wore the tights since the dress is short and as you can see, it was a windy day. The sequined flats were a clearance purchase during one of my Forever21 sprees this year. The headband is from the Dollar Store.

This outfit was partly inspired by my celebrity style icons like Kate Bosworth. I have worn the pants constantly since purchasing them in 2006. I've gotten many compliments on them, even now when they're worn out, and I'm always pleased to reply "Thanks, they were $6." I purchased the top more recently, and the first time I wore it out was during a karaoke night in Tempe. It's one of my favorite memories. The top and pants are sexy in a very subtle way. The shirt also goes great with my pencil skirt or shorts.

Wayward Child-Tribute to Lolita/Dolores Haze
In 2008 I photographed this tribute to Nabokov's Lolita. Lolita is my favorite book, for reasons that I cannot even take the time to describe here, they are so numerous. I read it in an armchair when I was 15, and it inspired me profoundly. It has to this day inspired every aspect of my artistic expression; my art, my writing, and as you see here, my fashion. The same year I ironically discovered a book at Borders called Fresh Fruits, which contains photography of Japanese street fashion with an emphasis on Gothic Lolita style. I read it every visit I made, which was often, to gain inspiration. One of the elements that I uphold about Lolita herself is that she is a contradiction. At twelve years old in pigtails and checkered petticoats she was viewed even by her own mother as merely a child. But yet she posesses power, and it is this duality that I embrace. She is both innocence and corruption at once, as is Humbert Humbert. When I was 18, already a Kubrick fan, I finally viewed his masterpiece Lolita. It does differ from the book, but is certainly the best film adaptation to date, and I strongly encourage you to either read the book, watch the film, or both!

I wore this outfit for Famous Friday during Spirit Week my Senior Year. Hardly anyone knew who I was, but it was certainly fun.
Expressions
These photos are all old, but I don't care. This is just an introduction to an idea that I have had, where I do photoshoots based on expressing a specific emotion. Some of these old photos are of when I was 16, dressing as a mime and devil, and also a photoshoot I did at 17 for my neighbor's college project in which he photographed me in two extremes. The first was me dressed in preppy clothes outdoors, and the second extreme was my idea; goth and holding a knife. I got really into it and even cut my neck during the shoot. I also did my own makeup. So, hopefully I will continue this concept.

Adrodgynous Allure: Style.com Lookbook
Back in 2007 this was selected by the style.com editors and displayed on the main page of the website! I decided to post it since they are inspiring runway looks, and go with my current fashion theme of menswear inspired. One reason why androgyny fascinates and inspires me is because it combines two extremes/ parallels..femininity and masculinity. It can be both classy and edgy and powerful. I enjoy seeing extremes combined.

Suspension: Menswear Inspired pt.1
This shoot was inspired by the likes of Nylon magazine and androgynous style.
It is part of a series on menswear inspired shoots I am making.
It is more edgy than what I've been doing..I have a very versatile fashion sense
as I love to explore all sides of fashion. I have more classic shoots in store, so keep on the lookout!
The shirt I purchased in 2007. I wore it to my first trip to Disneyland. The tie is from my Father's closet. The suspenders and boots are from people very special to me.
